Today’s three words:
JEEP• JOT• JUNIPER
Meet Juniper 🚙
The old Jeep was called Juniper.
Nobody remembered exactly when she’d acquired the name. It simply suited her.
Juniper wasn’t pretty.
She had scratches along one door, a mysterious dent nobody admitted causing, and something underneath occasionally rattled when she turned left.
But she always started.
Well…
Almost always.
In the glove compartment was a battered notebook where her owner would jot down places they had travelled together.
Mountain road — got lost.
Beach — nearly stuck in the sand.
Tiny village — excellent coffee.
Middle of nowhere — no phone signal.
Then came:
Juniper made a strange noise again.
Followed underneath by:
Ignored it.
Juniper had carried them along roads that weren’t really roads, through rain, dust and several adventures that had definitely not been part of the original plan.
One morning, her owner climbed behind the wheel, placed a fresh notebook on the passenger seat and turned the key.
Juniper coughed.
Rattled.
Coughed again.
Then started.
“Good girl.”
The engine gave another suspicious clunk.
She picked up the notebook and jotted:
September 8th — Juniper still refuses to die.
Then they headed towards the horizon.
No destination.
No schedule.
Just an old Jeep named Juniper and another blank page waiting for a story.
