What’s a book you never finished but still think about?
Well…
I’ve been sitting here trying to think of one.
And I can’t.
I honestly can’t remember ever starting a book and then simply never finishing it.
Once I’ve started reading, I need to know what happens.
Even if the story slows down in the middle…
Even if I’m getting slightly annoyed with the characters…
Even if I’m thinking:
“Oh, for goodness’ sake, GET ON WITH IT!” 🤣
I still have to finish it.
Perhaps it’s curiosity.
Perhaps it’s stubbornness.
Or perhaps I just need closure. 😂
I’ve certainly read books I wouldn’t read a second time, and I’ve finished some while wondering why I bothered.
But abandoning one halfway through?
Once I’ve opened that door into another world, I want to see where it leads—even if I occasionally regret walking through it.
So today’s Daily Prompt has defeated me.
There is no unfinished book haunting my thoughts.
They’re finished.
All of them.
I needed to know the ending.
