The Courage to Rewrite Your Story
Just as Jupiter encourages us to step into the light…
Mercury asks us to pause before taking the stage.
On 1 July, Mercury stations retrograde in Leo, remaining retrograde until 24 July (returning to direct motion around the 24th–25th, depending on your time zone).
This is not the Universe saying “stop.”
It is the Universe saying:
“Take another look.”
The Heart Speaks Again
Leo rules the heart.
Creativity.
Confidence.
Joy.
Self-expression.
Mercury rules the mind, communication, learning, travel, technology, contracts, and the stories we tell ourselves.
When Mercury appears to move backwards through Leo, the invitation is not simply to rethink your plans…
It is to reconsider your relationship with your own voice.
Ask yourself:
Am I expressing my authentic self…
or the version I think others expect to see?
A Time to Revisit, Not Retreat
Mercury retrograde often reconnects us with unfinished conversations, forgotten dreams, old friendships, creative projects left waiting, and parts of ourselves we thought we had outgrown.
This is a wonderful period to:
• revisit creative ideas
• edit writing or artistic work
• reconnect with people from the past
• reflect on your purpose
• reorganise rather than rush
• listen before speaking
Not everything needs to begin immediately.
Some dreams simply need refining.
The Shadow of Leo
Leo’s shadow can appear as:
• needing constant approval
• pride replacing honesty
• dramatic misunderstandings
• speaking before listening
• reacting from ego instead of the heart
Mercury asks you to soften.
Not to make yourself smaller…
but to become more genuine.
Because true confidence doesn’t need applause.
It simply shines.
The Hidden Gift
Mercury retrograde is often misunderstood.
It isn’t here to create chaos.
It creates awareness.
If delays happen…
perhaps something needs improving.
If plans change…
perhaps a better path is emerging.
If someone from your past reappears…
perhaps there is unfinished healing waiting to be completed.
Retrogrades invite reflection before action.
And sometimes…
that is exactly what we need.
Cosmic Whisper
The brightest light is not the one that shines the fastest.
It is the one that has learned patience.
Rewrite the story.
Refine the dream.
Speak from the heart.
When Mercury turns direct once more…
your voice may sound exactly the same.
But it will carry something far more powerful.
