She felt the charge before the storm arrived, a restless energy humming through the air and beneath her skin.
The sky darkened, but it wasn’t fear that made her heart beat faster.
Some moments carry their own electricity, announcing change long before it appears.
For years she had resisted the currents pulling her toward the unknown, clinging to familiar shores.
Now she stood still and let the charge move through her, awakening parts of herself she thought had gone quiet.
When the first lightning flashed across the horizon, she smiled, knowing the storm had come to set her free.
