I like to believe I possess an ingenious mind.

The kind that sees problems and immediately thinks:

“I can fix this myself.”

Which usually ends with me trying to insert something somewhere it absolutely does not belong—

a charger, a shelf screw, my patience.

Meanwhile, the entire household infrastructure quietly collapses around me.

WiFi blinking.

Coffee gone cold.

Someone asking:

“Did you read the instructions?”

No.

Because confidence was the plan.
