Astronomy tells us that on February 28th, six planets will align along the ecliptic —
Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune.
Four visible to the naked eye.
Two requiring a lens.
They are not truly “lined up” in space —
but from Earth’s perspective
they form an arc across the evening sky.
Thirty to sixty minutes after sunset,
the path of the Sun becomes the path of the planets.
Astronomy explains the mechanics.
Astrology listens for the meaning.
The ecliptic is not random.
It is the great circle of our story —
the plane where Earth moves,
where the Sun appears to travel,
where the zodiac is born.
When several planets gather along that path,
something inside us gathers too.
Mercury — mind.
Venus — heart.
Saturn — structure.
Jupiter — expansion.
Uranus — awakening.
Neptune — dream.
Visible and invisible.
Just like parts of ourselves.
Some energies are bright and obvious —
like Venus blazing at twilight.
Some sit low on the horizon, easy to miss —
like Mercury’s quicksilver thoughts.
Others require a telescope —
like Uranus and Neptune,
the deeper awakenings and dissolving illusions
that cannot be seen without intention.
An alignment doesn’t force fate.
It creates resonance.
It reminds us that everything in our system
moves along a shared plane.
As above, so below.
(There — that’s the phrase.)
The planets travel the same path
because they were born from the same spinning disk of dust and light.
We travel shared paths too —
human lives orbiting common questions.
This weekend, when the sky forms its arc of wandering lights,
I won’t just see astronomy.
I will see rhythm.
Geometry alive.
A cosmic reminder that we are moving together
even when we feel separate.
Six planets.
One sky.
One great circle of becoming.
