Chapter
Not just a word in a book—
but the invisible line between what was
and what is becoming.
I think of life as a series of chapters—
some short and intense,
some long and slow like winter light,
some that feel like they never wanted to end
and others that are over before I knew I was in them.
A chapter doesn’t disappear
just because it’s done.
Its echoes stick around—
phrases I learned by heart,
themes that keep weaving back in,
old lessons that still feel brand new.
Maybe life doesn’t flip pages—
maybe it weaves pages,
different stories overlapping,
some loud, some quiet,
some in focus, others blurred.
A chapter isn’t an ending until I decide it is.
And sometimes deciding
is the hardest part.
This feels like a chapter of waiting,
of small remappings,
of learning that time isn’t linear,
it’s experiential.
Maybe the next chapter
is just the place where I say yes again—
to a new morning,
a new word,
a new breath.
And that feels like enough
for today.
