Inside Out
Some days, the world turns itself inside out.
What should be private spills into view.
What should be hidden catches the light.
A cracked window.
A thin curtain.
A moment where the boundary between inside and outside no longer holds.
I’ve always been drawn to these spaces — thresholds, reflections, fractures. They tell the truth more honestly than polished surfaces ever could. When something breaks, it reveals what was always there: memory, resilience, life continuing despite the damage.
Inside out is not just about exposure.
It’s about reversal.
About seeing differently.
Sometimes our inner world leaks through without permission — grief, love, fear, hope — rearranging how we move through the day. And sometimes the outside world presses in so hard that it reshapes us from within.
Maybe that’s the quiet lesson of this word:
what we try to hide often becomes the very thing that defines us.
— Inside out, and still standing.
