I tried to start the day positive,
but my thoughts arrived wearing a negative attitude
and combat boots.

Everything felt a bit nasty —
the weather,
the news,
the way the coffee tasted almost right
but not quite.

Then I remembered my rule:
when the mood goes dark,
add neon.

Neon socks.
Neon lipstick.
Neon thoughts shouting,
“Not today, thank you!”

Turns out negativity hates bright colours.
It squints.
It sulks.
It quietly leaves the room.

So if the day feels nasty,
don’t fight it —
outshine it.

Preferably in neon 😎✨
