I read this question and realised something important:
I’m not standing in a place where bold ambitions come easily.
The last few years have changed everything in my life. Caregiving, grief, uncertainty, and the constant emotional weather of “holding everything together” have reshaped what hope looks like for me. I don’t feel like making big resolutions or brave declarations. Right now, simply existing takes energy. Loving takes strength. Staying present takes courage.
So my “ambitions” for the coming year are softer ones:
• To keep my heart open, even when it hurts
• To take care of my body and mind the best I can, without guilt when I can’t do more
• To keep creating, when inspiration visits
• To stay connected to the people and purposes that matter
• To allow myself grace, because surviving is already work
And maybe, when life allows, I’d like to feel a bit more peace — in my home, in my spirit, and in the spaces where grief and love sit together.
Plans feel like something you build on stable ground.
Resolutions feel like promises made to an ideal version of yourself.
Right now, I’m somewhere in between.
So my ambition is simply this: to keep going, gently, honestly, and with as much love as I can manage.
