Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

Honestly, I’d feel pretty lost without a computer. Especially when it comes to astrology! These days, I can just click a few buttons and a chart magically appears. Without the internet, I’d be dragged back to the “old-school” way of doing things…
Picture me at a desk with a big, heavy book called an ephemeris (basically a giant calendar that shows where the planets are at any given time). Then comes the tricky part—the ascendant and houses. That involves formulas, maps, and way more math than I usually want to do. Some astrologers just make educated guesses, but I always like things to line up properly.
I’ve tried it before, following a book I , and let me tell you—it gave me a whole new respect for astrologers who worked this way every day before computers existed. You need tables, atlases, and time zone charts—it’s a production! Would I survive an “internet apocalypse”? Probably. But I’d be grumbling at my calculations while secretly enjoying the detective work.
Of course, computers have a shadow side. They let people hide behind screens and say things they’d never dare to say in person. That cruelty—especially the way it hit around Liam’s life and death—has broken me in ways I still feel. But even in the shadow, there’s light: computers also connect us, give us voices, let us share truth and laughter.
So maybe life without a computer would feel slower, harder, maybe lonelier—but also quieter, more mindful, and yes, a little kinder. And maybe that’s the cosmic balance my Scorpio stellium keeps nudging me toward: dig deep, face the darkness, but let the Sagittarius Sun crack a joke along the way.
