Dear Liam 💜
So today turned into another shit-day… 2.0.
Only five days ago I had to call my landlord for help with a flat tire, and now here I am again. Driving my oldest daughter to her evening class, I felt the car pulling strangely. In the last roundabout, I told her, “I think I’ve punctured a tire.” She didn’t believe me at first, but when we pulled up to the bus station — of course, I was right.
My youngest arrived on the bus, my oldest had to run off to her class, and I was left making the dreaded phone call again. My landlord came, took the tire off, and brought it to the garage. The wait was over an hour, so he kindly drove us home so my daughter could change into her work uniform. Then back down into town we went — just in time for her to start her shift.
By the time the new tire was ready, my landlord put it on for me. He drove away, and I just sat there in the car… and cried.
Because it wasn’t just about the car, Liam. It was the weight of everything, of carrying too much, of always patching things up while feeling so broken inside. Another day where it all feels too heavy, too much.
So yes… shit-day 2.0.
Yours, always,
Maggie ♾️⚖️🦉
