The Great Foil Mystery

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Prompt Word!

I walked into the kitchen and discovered a long piece of foil stretched mysteriously across the floor.

Naturally, I looked at the dog, who stared back with the innocent expression of someone who had absolutely committed a crime.

Following the silver trail led me around the table, past one abandoned sock, and directly to her bed.

There sat the missing roll of foil, slightly chewed and guarded like priceless treasure.

She wagged her tail proudly, apparently convinced she had successfully foiled my investigation.

I didn’t have the heart to tell her that leaving the evidence attached to the crime scene was probably her first mistake. 😂
