Today’s three words:
CRAFT•CRAFTYCALLOUS
The Craft Project 😼
I decided to craft something today.
Nothing complicated.
Paper, ribbon, glue, scissors and several little decorations were carefully arranged across the table.
Then I made one critical mistake.
I left the room.
For approximately thirty seconds.
When I returned, the ribbon was halfway down the hallway.
The paper had mysterious holes in it.
One decoration was under the sofa.
The glue stick had vanished completely.
And a cat was sitting in the middle of the table looking extraordinarily pleased with himself.
“You crafty little devil.”
He blinked.
Slowly.
Behind him, another cat casually pushed a roll of ribbon over the edge.
I stared at them.
They stared at me.
Not one flicker of guilt.
Absolutely callous.
Apparently I had misunderstood the activity.
It wasn’t my craft project.
It was theirs.
I was merely the supplier.
Somewhere in this house there is still a missing glue stick.
And frankly, I’m afraid to ask.
