Another Monday, another Share Your World, and this week the animals seem to have taken over the gratitude section. 😂🐾
Share Your World 24th August 2026
Here are this week’s questions & my answers
1 Which tastes better: black or green olives?
Black olives, definitely!
I like both, but if I have to choose, black olives win. They are especially good on pizza and in salads — although I’m perfectly capable of eating them straight from the bowl too.
Unlike Garfield, however, I don’t normally sleep in the bowl afterwards. 🤣
2 What’s your favourite room in your home?
The kitchen.
For me, the kitchen is the heart of the home. It is where food is made, conversations happen, and everyone seems to wander in sooner or later.
And, most importantly…
It is where the coffee lives. 😂.
That alone earns it first place.
3 What fictional family would you be a member of?
Hehe… this one was easy.
The Ice People from Margit Sandemo’s The Legend of the Ice People.
A family filled with unusual gifts, mysteries, strong personalities, supernatural experiences, ancient secrets, love, darkness and strange forces following them through generations.
Yes….
I think I would fit in rather well. 🤭
Knowing my luck, I probably wouldn’t end up among the quiet members of the family either. I’d be somewhere in the middle of the supernatural chaos asking:
“Okay… which spirit needs help now?” 😂
4 What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
My animals have given me lots of laughter this week.

Honestly, just look at the picture. 😂
At the top we have Chilly, sleeping on my computer bag in a position that seems to defy several basic laws of physics.
Half on the chair, head hanging backwards, paw dangling…
Gravity: “You need to fall.”Chilly: “No.” 🤣🤣
Apparently my computer bag is no longer a computer bag. It is now premium feline furniture.
And then we have Garfield.
Garfield discovered a metal bowl and apparently thought:
“Yes. This is comfortable. This is my bed now.” 😂
Forget soft blankets, cushions and all the perfectly reasonable places a cat could sleep.
No.
The bowl.
And judging by his face, he was quite pleased with his decision.
Gratitude
This week, I am grateful for those little moments that make us laugh.
Life can be serious enough. Sometimes we need the ridiculous moments — the unexpected things that interrupt an ordinary day and make us smile.
My animals are particularly talented at providing those moments.
They give us companionship and unconditional love, but they are also our little comedians. They remind me that happiness doesn’t always arrive through something big or extraordinary.
Sometimes it is a cat almost defying gravity on your computer bag.
And sometimes…
happiness really is as simple as Garfield in a bowl. 🤣
With love, coffee, poetry, and stardust,
