FATHOM • FRIGHT • FREE
Sometimes I can’t fathom how much life can change in such a short time.
One moment, everything feels familiar.
The next, you’re standing somewhere you never expected to be, wondering how you’re supposed to find your way forward.
Change can bring fright.
So can uncertainty.
We like knowing what’s coming next. We like having plans, answers, and something solid beneath our feet.
But life doesn’t always give us that.
Sometimes all we can do is take the next step.
And then another.
I’ve learned that courage doesn’t mean never being frightened.
Sometimes courage is saying:
Yes, I’m scared — but I’m going anyway.
Because on the other side of fear there can be something extraordinary.
The feeling of being free.
Free from the limits we once placed upon ourselves.
Free from the voice that whispered, You can’t.
Free to discover that perhaps we were stronger than we ever realised.
We don’t have to fathom the entire journey before we begin.
Sometimes we only need enough courage for the next step.
Let fear come along if it must…
just don’t let it choose the direction.
