FLUE • FLEE • FLEET
There are moments in life when our first instinct is to flee.
From difficult conversations.
From uncertainty.
From change.
But not every challenge is meant to be escaped.
Some are meant to be faced.
A flue quietly carries away smoke, leaving the air clear again.
Perhaps our hearts need something similar.
A way to let old worries drift away instead of allowing them to fill every corner of our minds.
And then there is the word fleet.
It reminds me how quickly time passes.
The happy moments.
The difficult ones.
Even the seasons themselves.
Nothing stands still forever.
So today, I choose not to flee from life.
Instead, I’ll let my worries rise like smoke through a flue,
hold close the moments that matter,
and remember that even though time is fleet,
every day offers another chance to live with kindness, gratitude, and hope.
