Here are this week’s questions and my answers:
1 What currency is used in your country?
The Euro (€).
Living in the Canary Islands means we use the same currency as mainland Spain.
2 If you travel to a different country, do you rely on card payments, or get some local currency in cash?
A little of both.
I like having some local cash for small purchases, but I also use my bank card whenever possible.
3 Do you buy souvenirs for yourself or family?
Yes, I do.
It’s nice to bring home a little reminder of a place you’ve visited, or a small gift for family and friends.
4 When using an unfamiliar currency, are you aware of how much you are spending in your own?
Always.
I usually work it out in my head or check the exchange rate, just to make sure I know what I’m actually spending.
Gratitude
I’m grateful for the opportunity to travel, even if it isn’t often.
I’m grateful for the memories collected along the way, the little souvenirs that tell a story, and for the people who make every journey feel worthwhile.
