What’s something you used to believe as a kid that seems ridiculous now?

Hahaha, oh lord… this one still makes me laugh. 🤣
As a child, I thought the speed of the clouds showed how fast the Earth was rotating.
If the clouds were racing across the sky, I imagined the whole planet must be spinning extra fast that day. Maybe that was why I felt dizzy sometimes. Who knows? Childhood logic made perfect sense at the time. 🙈
Of course, now I know it was just the wind moving the clouds, not the Earth suddenly speeding up like a runaway carousel.
But I love that kind of innocent thinking. Children look at the world with wonder before they learn all the rules. They connect things in magical ways, and even when they are completely wrong, there is something beautiful about the imagination behind it.
Maybe I wasn’t so ridiculous after all.
Maybe I was just trying to understand the sky.
Childhood wonder may not always be accurate, but it is often beautifully creative.
