Just Rojie – Day 24

Time
A clock sits quietly in the darkness.
No fanfare. No announcements. No warnings.
Just the steady movement of its hands, marking moments that will never come again.
Time is strange that way.
When we’re young, it seems endless. Summers last forever, birthdays take ages to arrive, and adulthood feels impossibly far away.
Then one day you look around and wonder where the years went.
The children are grown.
The photographs have faded.
The memories have become stories.
And the clock keeps ticking.
Yet time is not our enemy.
It gives us sunsets and sunrises, friendships and farewells, laughter and tears. It teaches us what matters and gently reminds us not to postpone the things we love.
The older I get, the more I realise that life isn’t measured by the number of hours we are given, but by what we do with them.
A song written.
A hand held.
A coffee shared.
A memory made.
The clock in the darkness continues its journey.
And so do we. 💜
With love, coffee, poetry, and stardust,
