The Committee of Shock
“No!”
“Yes!”
“Oh, absolutely not!”
The Committee of Shock had gathered again.
Every Tuesday, they met in the shop window to discuss humanity’s latest nonsense.
Today’s topic:
Someone had invented a machine that could write poems, answer questions, and somehow still confuse grandmothers.
The spiky-haired one nearly fainted.
The long-faced one gasped,“What next? Toasters with opinions?”
In the back, the quiet one simply sighed.
“Humans said books would ruin minds.Then radios. Then television.They survive themselves surprisingly well.”
A long silence followed.
Finally, someone whispered,“Still… imagine if it starts writing limericks.”
The whole committee screamed.
Passersby only laughed at the strange sculptures, never guessing the meeting had once again saved civilisation.
