Steep
Steep.
Some roads
are not gentle.
Some climbs
leave us breathless,
wondering
if we are strong enough
for the mountain
in front of us.
Life can feel steep.
Grief.
Healing.
Change.
The weight
of carrying too much for too long.
And yet—
step by step,
we rise.
Not quickly.
Not perfectly.
But faithfully.
Perhaps steep places teach us something easy roads never
could—
how resilient
the soul can become.
Because sometimes
the most breathtaking views
only arrive
after the hardest climb.
