What’s a classic book that you think is overrated?

This may sound controversial…
But I honestly think some “classic” books are admired more because people feel they should admire them.
Sometimes a book becomes famous because of history, status, or academic tradition — not necessarily because everyone truly connects with it.
And honestly? Some classics can feel incredibly heavy, slow, or emotionally distant for modern readers.
That doesn’t mean they are bad books. It simply means not every story speaks to every soul.
I’ve always believed books should make you feel something.
Wonder. Emotion. Curiosity. Connection.
A book does not become meaningful just because the world labels it a classic.
Sometimes the books that stay with us the longest are the unexpected ones — the stories we read at exactly the right moment in life.
