Which is the best thing to do in your city?

That really depends on who you are with.

If you have small children, there are different adventures than when your children are grown, like mine are now.

But one thing never changes—

the beaches.

Beautiful, open, endless beaches where the ocean seems to breathe a little slower.

And nearby…some truly amazing restaurants, where you can sit close to the sea with good food, music, and the warm evening air.

During summer weekends, there’s often live music, activities on the beach, people gathering together long after sunset.

And then there are the festivals.

The music festival the first weekend in November—artists arriving from all over the world, bringing life and energy to the island.

The carnival—full of color, costumes, music, laughter, and people dancing in the streets.

And the Three Kings parade…still carrying that magical feeling that belongs to childhood no matter your age.

Some weekends there are farmers markets too—local food, handmade things, small treasures made by hand instead of machines.

And maybe that’s what I love most about living here…

life happens outside.

Near the sea.

Near music.

Near people.

Under the sun and open sky.
