The Right Key

They said every key opened something.

She wasn’t so sure.

The bowl held too many—old, worn, heavy with doors that no longer existed. Some were rusted shut in time, others carried names she had outgrown.

She picked one at random, feeling its weight settle into her palm.

The Arrow Warrior stirred softly—not all doors are meant to be opened again.

Some keys are reminders… not invitations.

She placed it back.

Then, without looking, chose another.

This one felt lighter.

Like something waiting…rather than something lost.
