Pogonip
It arrives quietly.
Not as storm—
not as rain—
but as a presence
you almost don’t notice
until it surrounds you.
Pogonip.
A frozen fog
that lingers low,
soft yet suffocating,
beautiful
yet heavy.
It blurs the edges
of everything.
Distance disappears.
Clarity softens.
The world
becomes muted—
as if wrapped
in silence.
And still…
there is something
strangely gentle
about it.
Because not all obscurity
is meant to harm.
Sometimes
we are not meant
to see clearly.
Not yet.
Sometimes
life moves
through its own fog—where direction feels uncertain
and the path
fades beneath our feet.
And in that space…
we learn something deeper.
To trust
without full vision.
To move
without certainty.
To feel
our way forward.
Because even
within the fog—
we are still
walking.
And eventually…
always—
the air clears.
