Where the Light Breaks
The night is still falling—
you can see it in the rain,
in the heavy sky that hasn’t quite let go.
And yet…
there it is.
Light.
Not loud.
Not triumphant.
Just… persistent.
The tree stands without moving,
a witness to both darkness and dawn.
It does not chase the sun.
It does not resist the rain.
It simply remains.
Mountains hold the horizon like a breath,
while the sky splits open
in quiet fire—
orange, peach,
a promise written in soft flame.
What I see
is not a sunrise alone,
but a meeting point:
where endings still linger,
and beginnings have already begun.
Because sometimes
light doesn’t wait
for the storm to pass.
It arrives anyway.
