Creep
Some things do not arrive loudly.
They creep.
The quiet doubt that enters the mind late at night.
The slow movement of clouds before a storm.
The way water finds its path through the smallest cracks.
Creeping is patient.
It does not rush.
It does not force.
It simply continues, inch by inch, until suddenly you realize it has arrived.
Sometimes fear creeps in like that.
Sometimes memories do too.
But not everything that creeps is dark.
Morning light creeps over the mountains.
Green shoots creep across dry land after rain.
Hope creeps back into the heart when the storm finally passes.
Perhaps creeping is simply life’s quiet way of moving forward.
Slowly.
Softly.
Almost unnoticed.
Until one day we look around and realize that change has already happened.
