Ticket

A ticket
is both invitation and permission—
a small slip of paper
that says you may enter.

It carries expectation,
sometimes excitement,
sometimes hesitation.

We collect tickets to shows,
to travels,
to moments we intend to remember.

But life also hands us tickets
we don’t frame—
the ones stamped change,
risk,
surprise,
loss.

Some tickets we hold eagerly,
others we fold and put away
until the meaning settles
into memory.

A ticket is a promise
that a moment once potential
is now possibility claimed.

And sometimes
the best tickets
are not the ones we buy—
but the ones we choose
to keep close to the heart.
