What do you see ? #329
In response to Sadje’s prompt:

Two hands,
not to pick—
but to feel.
The sunflower does not resist.
It has already chosen the light,
already learned how to turn
toward what feeds it.
Petals flare like quiet joy,
gold against green,
a small sun rooted in soil
that once was only seed and doubt.
What I see
is tenderness without possession.
Care without control.
A moment where human skin
meets something that grows
without needing applause.
In a field of many,
this one is touched—
not because it is better,
but because it is here.
Sometimes that is enough:
to cup the brightness gently
and remember
we are allowed
to hold light
without breaking it.
