Vertigo
Vertigo is not fear of falling.
It’s the moment
when the ground forgets
its job.
When balance becomes negotiation.
When up and down
argue.
You can be standing still
and still feel like
the world tilted.
Vertigo teaches you something
no one talks about—
Control is fragile.
The body recalibrates.
The mind searches for a fixed point.
The breath becomes anchor.
You learn to move slower.
To focus on what is solid.
To trust that equilibrium
returns.
Vertigo is disorienting, yes.
But it is also temporary.
The earth has not betrayed you.
It has simply shifted.
And you,
steadying yourself,
discover how strong your balance
actually is.
