“Right” vs. “Lost” — A Reflection
We like to think that life has a right path
— a clear line from Inception to Destination.
But sometimes the compass spins.
Sometimes what once felt right
feels like a distant echo,
like the road you used to know
is unrecognizable now.
In “Lose Your Way,” the singer doesn’t hide the confusion —
there’s no false promise of direction,
no neat metaphors of sunrise and clarity.
Instead, there’s a raw acknowledgment:
“I don’t know where I’m heading”,
and that — paradoxically — can be the first step
toward finding your way again.
When You Don’t Know What’s Right
There’s a strange sort of freedom
in admitting you don’t have all the answers.
When the right path is obscured, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed —
it means you’re in motion,
figuring it out as you go —
like a song building, note by note,
until — eventually — the melody resolves.
It’s okay to be unsure where the right path lies.
Sometimes losing your way is part of finding your way.
And sometimes a song lets you feel that —
not because it solves the confusion,
but because it names it. 💜
