Extension

An extension is not an escape.
It is borrowed time.
A little more space
to finish what matters.

Sometimes we ask for extension
because we are overwhelmed.
Sometimes because we are healing.
Sometimes because life does not move
on neat schedules.

I have learned
that needing more time
is not failure.

It is recognition—
that growth has its own rhythm,
that recovery cannot be rushed,
that some chapters deserve
a slower closing.

An extension
is not weakness.
It is the quiet insistence
that what you are building
is worth completing
well.
