In response to Di’s daily Prompt:

I had an utter plan today.

Clear.
Organised.
Impressive.

Then reality entered like an usher,
guiding me gently but firmly
toward a completely different seat
in the theatre of the day.

Apparently, my original plan
was for decorative use only.

Instead, I was escorted
to the “Improvisation” section,
where things happen without rehearsal
and coffee counts as a life skill.

Still, I stayed for the show.

Because even when the plan is utterly wrong,
there’s something charming
about being ushered somewhere unexpected.

Front row seat.
