is the sound you make
when you’re still standing
after holding your breath too long.
It’s not celebration.
It’s not relief wrapped in ribbons.
It’s the quiet moment after impact
when you realise:
I made it through that.
Phew lives in the exhale.
In shoulders finally dropping.
In the pause between
what almost broke you
and what didn’t.
Some days deserve a bigger word.
Others only need this one.

I’m here.
I’m breathing.
