Three Things Challenge Prompt words — GURU • GNU • GRUB

I went searching for a guru today,
hoping for deep wisdom,
life direction,
and maybe a sense of purpose.

Instead, I encountered a gnu —
wild-eyed, unpredictable,
charging in the wrong direction
with absolute confidence.

Which, honestly, felt… relatable.

By lunchtime, all spiritual seeking paused,
because enlightenment is difficult
when you’re hungry.

So I chose grub.
Simple.
Reliable.
Always shows up when summoned.

And just like that, clarity arrived:

Sometimes the guru speaks.
Sometimes the gnu runs through your plans.
And sometimes the truest wisdom
is knowing when it’s time to eat 😄
