Ever since I discovered
that everyone has a secret,
I’ve been mildly suspicious of…
everyone.

Especially people who say,
“Oh, nothing much,”
with that very calm voice.

That’s when the imagination kicks in
and everything turns a bit sinister.

What are they hiding?
World domination plans?
A secret snack stash?
The last biscuit?

Turns out, most secrets aren’t sinister at all.
They’re things like:
“I ate the chocolate,”
“I didn’t reply because I forgot,”
or
“I’m tired and pretending I’m fine.”

So ever since then,
I’ve relaxed a little —
because the scariest secret of all
is usually just being human 😄🖤
