In response to Crispina kemp Crimson’s Creative Challenge #066 https://crispinakemp.com/2025/12/24/crimsons-creative-challenge-066/#like-40028

People came here with promises once—summer laughter, barefoot hopes, and hearts that pretended forever was real. Now the path stretched into mist, fading where certainty used to live. Sand shifted with each breeze, burying yesterday quietly, without judgement.
I walked anyway.
Not to find the end, but to prove I could keep going when everything ahead looked uncertain and everything behind was already gone. The sea was somewhere out there, hidden, breathing patiently. The world whispered that not all clarity arrives with sunlight; sometimes it waits inside the fog, asking who you are when the view disappears.
So I kept moving.
Not brave.
Not fearless.
Simply… unwilling to stop.
And maybe that was enough.

I can get with this. There has been times I’ve walked a path simply because I didn’t want to stop. Oddly, that’s most often been either by a river or the sea

interesting that your paths have often been near rivers or the sea. Symbolically (and astrologically), water is where we digest and process our emotions. It holds memory, feeling, and reflection. Maybe that’s why those watery places invite us to keep walking—because they help us feel our way forward, even when we can’t see clearly ahead.
