If AI can create art, write stories, and mimic emotions, what makes your creativity special?
AI can create an image, suggest words, compose sounds and even imitate emotion.
But it hasn’t lived my life.
It doesn’t have my memories. It didn’t grow up where I did, love the people I’ve loved, lose the people I’ve lost, sit behind my piano at night with a melody going around in my head, or suddenly wake up with words demanding to be written down.
My creativity comes from everything I’ve experienced — the beautiful parts, the painful parts, the ridiculous moments, my spirituality, my imagination and all those little pieces of life that have shaped who I am.
I use AI, and I enjoy using it. I see it as another creative tool.
AI can mimic emotion.
I bring the memory behind the emotion.
And perhaps that’s what makes human creativity special. Two people can be given exactly the same tools and exactly the same prompt and still create completely different things, because neither of them has lived the other’s life.
The tools may change.
The soul behind what we create is still our own.
