The Last Ride on the Crazy Train
27 October 2026 — Simply 6 Minutes
The old railway station had been abandoned for over fifty years.
Nobody remembered when the last train departed.
But every Halloween, at precisely midnight, the tracks began to tremble.
The locals called it the Crazy Train.
Some said it carried lost souls. Others claimed it was driven by the Devil himself.
Nobody had ever stayed long enough to find out.
Until tonight.
Thomas had never believed in ghosts.
Armed with a flashlight and his grandfather’s old railway watch, he stood beside the rusted tracks.
11:59 PM.
The wind suddenly stopped.
The forest fell silent.
Then came a distant whistle.
A train emerged from the mist, its ancient wheels screeching against the rails.
Every window was illuminated by a strange blue light.
And behind the glass stood women.
Dozens of them.
Pale faces. Hollow eyes. Long white hair.
All staring directly at him.
The train slowed.
A door opened.
“All aboard!” shouted a conductor wearing a uniform that looked a century old.
Thomas stepped backwards.
“No thanks. I’m just watching.”
The conductor smiled.
“That’s what they all say.”
Suddenly, music erupted from somewhere inside the carriage.
A screaming electric guitar.
Thomas recognised the song immediately.
“Crazy Train? Seriously?”
The conductor grinned.
“Management has a sense of humour.”
One of the ghostly women pressed her hand against the window.
Then another.
And another.
Their mouths opened together.
“Thomas…”
His blood turned cold.
How did they know his name?
The conductor checked his pocket watch.
“Last chance, young man.”
Thomas turned and ran.
Behind him, the train whistle screamed through the night.
He didn’t stop until he reached home.
The following morning, he discovered something strange in his jacket pocket.
A railway ticket.
ONE WAY — PASSENGER: THOMAS
DEPARTURE: 31 OCTOBER, MIDNIGHT
And underneath, written in faded red ink:
You missed your train. We’ll be back.
Thomas stared at the ticket.
Then at his grandfather’s watch.
It had stopped at midnight.
From somewhere in the distance, a familiar guitar riff began to play.
“Oh, you’ve GOT to be kidding me!”
The End.
