I am Jane Doe.

The case behind this campaign concerns a woman identified publicly only as Jane Doe, who alleges that in October 2024 she was drugged and sexually assaulted over several hours by members of Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity. Seven men are named as defendants in her civil lawsuit. The allegations include Snapchat messages sent to a fraternity group containing dozens of members while the alleged assault was taking place.

I am Jane Doe.

Not because her story is my story. Not because I know exactly what she endured.But because I know what it means when someone takes away your right to say no.

I know what it means to carry memories you never asked to have.

I know what it means to survive.

Jane Doe is anonymous because her name deserves protection.But she should never have to stand alone.

So today, I lend her mine.

I am a survivor of sexual assault.I am a survivor of domestic violence. I am still here.

And today I say:

For her.

For me.

For every woman, every man, every person who was frightened into silence.

Your silence was never consent. Your intoxication was never consent. Your fear was never consent. And surviving was never something to be ashamed of.
