Worn Elegance

She sat on the small stool, dressed in her best attire, though the fabric was old, its edges softly faded with time.

There was a pair of shoes by the door, one slightly worn, a quiet patch holding them together—a story no one else could see.

Her hands traced a gentle scratch along the wooden table, as sunlight slipped through the window and made everything briefly shine.

She was tired, yes—but not in the way the world assumes.

There is a kind of grace that comes from carrying years, from holding on, from letting go.

And in that moment, she was still elegant—not because she was untouched by life, but because she had lived it.
