The Great Window Protest 🐈

What Do You See? #363 — 19 October 2026

Outside, the world had disappeared behind a dusty haze.

Calima!

Which meant one terrible thing in our household.

The windows had to stay CLOSED!

An absolute outrage, according to our five feline residents.

There were complaints, accusing looks, and several attempts to convince me that I was violating their fundamental cat rights.

I explained that opening the windows would bring half the Sahara Desert into the house.

They weren’t impressed.

And then came the rebellion.

You see, some of our windows don’t always lock properly.

And the cats have discovered this.

More than once, I’ve walked into a room to find a window wide open, with a very satisfied cat sitting beside it.

Looking absolutely triumphant.

Mission accomplished. Freedom restored.

Meanwhile, I’m wondering how much Saharan dust has entered the house.

I close the window again.

The cat looks offended.

And so the battle continues.

Five cats. One human. And a window that refuses to cooperate.

I think we all know who’s winning. 🤣🐾
