Open Link Night # 417

Written in the Stars

A song lyric written 24 July 2025

For dVerse Open Link Night #417, I’m sharing something a little different — a song lyric I wrote in July 2025.

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea that certain souls recognise one another, as though their stories began long before this lifetime.

Some connections seem to exist beyond distance, time and even words. Whether we call it destiny, love or simply the mystery of human connection, there are people who leave an imprint on our souls.

“Written in the Stars” grew from that feeling — the possibility that some stories are written across the heavens long before we learn to read them.

Tonight, I’m sharing the words as poetry, just as they were originally written. 💜✨

Written in the Stars follows here.

Written in the Stars 24/7 – 2025

[Verse 1]

I’ve known your name before this life
In echoes soft as silver light
You touched my soul before my skin

And every time, I let you in

[Verse 2]

The skies have turned,
the moons have burned

But still our hearts,
they crash and yearn

Through every fall,
through every scar

We’re still aligned —
we’re written in the stars

[Chorus]

You and I, we never fade

Like constellations love has made

Across the dark,
I feel you near

My forever’s always here

In every breath,
in every spark

We find each other in the dark

It’s who we are

We’re written in the stars

[Verse 3]

You call my name without a sound

And I appear,
though worlds around

You cry,
and somehow I still know

Like fire whispering through snow

[Bridge]

Even if the heavens break

And time itself begins to shake

I’ll hold you through the cosmic storm

Your love will keep my spirit warm

[Final Chorus]

You and I,
we never fade

Like constellations love has made

No distance wide,
no time too far

To dim the pull
of who we are

In every breath,
in every spark

We find each other in the dark

It’s who we are

Forever written…

What makes this piece beautiful is the idea that some connections leave a mark deeper than time or distance can erase. Whether we understand such bonds as destiny, memory, or the quiet mystery of human connection, their meaning lives on in the way they shape us.

To me, the most powerful line is not simply the promise that two souls will never fade, but the suggestion that even in darkness, they can still find one another. Perhaps that is what makes love feel eternal—not that life never changes, but that some connections continue to matter through every change.

A deeply tender and imaginative piece. Thank you for sharing it. 💜✨

Thank you so much, Wahidullah! 🥹💜

Your thoughtful interpretation truly touched me. I especially love what you said about love feeling eternal, not because life remains unchanged, but because certain connections continue to matter through every change. That is very close to what I felt when I wrote these lyrics. I have always been fascinated by the idea that some souls recognise each other beyond time, distance, and perhaps even lifetimes. And yes, even in the darkest moments, those connections can become a light that guides us. Thank you for reading so deeply and sharing such beautiful reflections.
