A very cheap petrol station where you insert a nickel and hope enough fuel comes out to get you home. - What is meant by nimbus?
A tiny bus designed specifically for people who don’t particularly want company. Maximum capacity: one grumpy passenger. - What is a sea monkey?
A monkey who became tired of the jungle, bought a little boat and now spends his days stealing bananas from passing pirates. - What is an ambassador?
Someone employed by hotels to stand at the breakfast buffet and make sure nobody steals more than their allocated number of croissants. - What is a flywheel?
A miniature exercise wheel installed in gyms for flies who’ve eaten too much picnic food. - What is a catacomb?
A special comb designed for cats who absolutely, categorically, do not wish to be combed. - What is flamboyant?
A flamingo who has discovered sequins, sunglasses and a feather boa and now considers ordinary pink terribly understated.
And there we have it.
Ten completely dependable definitions that should never under any circumstances be repeated in a classroom.
