September — Day 3
Dump two or more photos from your camera roll and describe the pics.
Well, apparently my camera roll has decided today’s theme is Fuerteventura.
I couldn’t choose only two, so here’s a little collection.
There are photos of the rugged landscape and some of the incredible rock formations we have here. Fuerteventura can look almost barren at first glance, but the geology is fascinating when you actually stop and look at it. One of the photos even includes the warning not to collect geological specimens — look, photograph, but leave the rocks where they belong.
Then there’s that beautiful view across the mountains. I never get tired of how far you can see here. The landscape can change completely depending on where you are on the island.
Of course, I had to include a sunset. The sun dropping behind the ridge beside a wind turbine is such a Fuerteventura image — ancient volcanic landscape meeting the modern world.
There’s also my frame drum, which is a much more personal photo. Music and spirituality together in one object.
Then we have the colourful mural with the Victor Hugo quote:
“Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.”
I rather like that one. 💜
And naturally, no collection of Fuerteventura photographs would be complete without that incredible turquoise water and white beaches.
Then there’s the last photo — a handful of those famous little white pieces that look remarkably like popcorn.
So apparently my camera roll says quite a lot about me:
Mountains, rocks, sunsets, music, little bits of wisdom, the ocean and Fuerteventura.

My new song “Silenced, but not broken” is now avaliable on all streaming platforms. 💜
