Just Rojie – Day 13

What’s a popular piece of advice you think is actually terrible?
“Just go to the gym” or “Run up the mountains and your health will sort itself out.”
I know people usually mean well, but health isn’t always that simple. For some people, movement helps. For others — especially those living with chronic pain, disabilities, autoimmune issues, injuries, or exhaustion — it’s not about motivation. It’s about limitations, energy, pain levels, and listening to what the body can actually handle that day.
Trust me, if health problems could be solved by a motivational quote and a treadmill, many of us would already be superheroes.
Sometimes healing looks like movement. Other times healing looks like rest, pacing yourself, swimming gently, medication, appointments, adapting, and simply getting through the day.
Not every body works the same way. And honestly?
“Listen to your body” is much better advice than pretending one solution fits everyone.
