Guest
Funny how life is full of guests.
Some stay for coffee.
Some stay for years.
Some arrive carrying laughter, chaos, lessons—or heartbreak wrapped in promises.
And some leave long before we are ready.
I think memories are guests too.
They visit unexpectedly.
A song on the radio. A smell drifting through the kitchen. An old photograph appearing just when your heart feels fragile.
Suddenly, there they are.
Sitting beside you for a while.
Maybe we are guests ourselves sometimes.
Passing through chapters we never planned to visit.
Learning things we never wanted to learn.
Meeting souls we somehow already recognise.
And isn’t that strange?
How complete strangers can become family, while others quietly become ghosts of old conversations.
Perhaps the secret is this:
Welcome the good guests warmly.
Learn from the difficult ones.
And leave the door slightly open for beautiful surprises.
You never know who—or what lesson—might arrive next.
