Welcome to OpenLinkNight everyone.

music: ON / world: OFF

I found the switch
not on the
wall—
but somewhere behind my ribs where noise used to live.
One flick—
and the voices dissolved into something softer,
something that didn’t demand
I explain my wounds.
music: ON
and suddenly
the silence wasn’t
empty—
it was full of you.
world: OFF
and the weight slipped
from my shoulders like a coat I had outgrown but kept wearing for everyone else.
They call it escape—
I call it returning.
Because in
that in-between
where melody replaces memory,
I am not broken,
not questioned,
not watched.
Only felt.
So I stay there
a little longer each night—fingers hovering over the switch,
heart already decided.
music: ON
world: OFF
and for a moment,
I exist exactly as I am meant to be.
