“Normal.”
Because honestly… what even is normal?
And one phrase that can instantly annoy me?
“You don’t look sick.”
Ah yes.
Because apparently chronic illness is only valid if you look like you just walked out of a medical drama 😅
Living with chronic illness means people often only see you on the better days.
They don’t see the flare-up days.
The days where simply getting out of bed costs every ounce of energy you have.
The invisible battles. The pain. The exhaustion. The calculations behind every outing.
Sometimes, if you don’t see me…
That is the symptom.
And no, I’m not asking for sympathy.
Just understanding.
Because some days are harder than others.
And maybe we should stop measuring people’s struggles by how healthy they appear on the outside.
So yes…
